SANTINIKETAN 2008
Exhibition at
The Royal College of Art, London
27th August - 1st September 2008
Santiniketan (meaning the abode of peace) is a place in West Benga, known to the world for a unique school for children and a World University called Visva-Bharati, established by the poet Tabindranath Tagore, which has evolved as a centre of learning and culture, bridging the East and West.
SA Fine Arts of London organized a special exhibition of paintings by the artists of Santiniketan, which represents the creative experiments of several generations of painters..
The exhibition showcases 56 artists under four distinct categories, providing a wonderful opportunity for young and emerging artists to exhibit their works alongside old, senior and contemporary masters including Rabindranath Tagore.
